Don’t Share Passwords.
Don’t share passwords with anyone, not even your best friends, but if you trust your parent or guardian you may tell them. Do not store your passwords in obvious places, but make sure you know where they are at all times. Keep your passwords safe so nobody can access your stuff.

Vietnam Veterans Day

Mildura South PS leadership team attended the Vietnam Veterans Day memorial service on Thursday, August 18th. Vietnam Veterans Day is commemorated on 18 August every year. This year marks the 50th anniversary of the Battle of Long Tan, where 108 brave young men from D Company 6RAR resisted an attack of 1,500–2,500 North Vietnamese and Viet Cong troops.

eSmart Message

Mildura South PS is aiming to be an accredited eSmart school by the end of the year. An eSmart school is a school where the smart, safe and responsible use of information and communication technology is taught and used every day across the school and in the community.
The program was developed by The Alannah and Madeline Foundation for schools across Australia to help reduce bullying, cyberbullying and increase online safety. There will be helpful hints and tips about bullying, cyberbullying and online safety in each of our newsletters, school website and PAM.

Chess Success

On Monday 2nd August a team of 15 chess players from MSPS set off to Sacred Heart PS to play in the interschool chess tournament. The team consisted of Matthew Bennett, Rory Peterson, Flynn Hopgood, Indiana Spratt, Connor Byrne, Angus Bobstchinski, Jenwei Byron, Joshua Dichiera, Abby Peterson, Ryan Hillier, Ruby Spratt, Kade Baynes, Levi Williams, Parker Kemp and Harvey Spratt. Each student played 7 games of chess and each game was timed, lasting up to 30 minutes. All students did an amazing job and earned points contributing to MSPS winning the Primary School Division.
Individually Matthew Bennett came 1st, Flynn Hopgood 2nd and Rory Peterson 3rd out of all Primary School students that participated.
Congratulations to all chess players. It is a wonderful achievement. Many thanks to Fiona Bennett for assisting on the day.
